In our case, we believe in giving back dreams that are of benefit to these special citizens of our community.
GOALS/OBJECTIVES:· C.E.S.I. committee members work to raise funds and identify enriching opportunities for qualified individuals. · The 2007 goals include funding scholarships for individuals to attend three conferences, the Choices Conference, the Self-Advocacy Conference and the Supported Life Conference. |

Community NEEDS:· Funds available for individuals who have developmental disabilities to participate in enriching activities have become more limited. · This funding crisis has been developing for some time due to the California state budget problems. · The purpose of C.E.S.I. is to raise money through donations to provide opportunities for consumers of the Regional Centers in the Central Valley of California to experience beneficial and enriching activities. · C.E.S.I. welcomes individuals with a desire to contribute to the activities of the organization, i.e. monetary contributions, your time and energy to assist with fundraising, committee members to move C.E.S.I. forward, etc.
|
SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED:· The C.E.S.I. scholarship committee awarded 100 scholarships for people to attend the Choices Conference in April 2005, featuring Dave Hingsburger. As funds become available through fundraising activities, more scholarships are awarded. C.E.S.I. is currently focusing on raising funds for the upcoming Choices Conference to be held on April 11, 2008. · C.ES.I. accepts special requests for items and activities to enrich the applicant’s situation and will review and consider each on an individual basis.
