Referral, Intake and Screening Process

• The referring agency will make a preliminary referral based on Central Valley Training Center’s (CVTC) program services and individual needs.

• Required information/paperwork will be requested by CVTC from the referring agency.

• The individual and parent/authorized representative may take a tour of program and request further information about CVTC.

• The individual may choose to participate in a “guest” day to help determine if the program will meet his/her needs.

• Upon the individual’s selection and consultation with IDT members, CVTC will be contacted regarding the individual desire to attend the program.

• CVTC will schedule an intake with appropriate persons at which time an Intake and Screening form will be completed.

• Depending on individual’s appropriateness with regard to CVTC’s entrance criteria, written information and intake information, the individual will be given a start date.
