
Jessica Larbie
Program Director
Jessica Larbie is
a graduate from the University of San Diego, where
she obtained a Bachelors degree in Political Science in
May of 2006. During her undergraduate years,
she worked directly for the President of the
University and assisted the President's executive
assistants in the President’s office. Heavily involved
with the community and an activist for social justice
and tolerance, she assumed several leadership roles and
activities
to
affect greater social justice
throughout the University and within the greater San
Diego community.
Jessica traveled to Europe and studied in Paris, France
for 6 months while voyaging throughout Europe. After
graduation, Jessica moved back to her hometown in the
Northern Bay Area and worked with a company named Atmel,
a semiconductor firm emphasising in the marketing and
engineering of their products. Later, she accepted a
position with the US Embassy and the French Ministry of
Education as a language assistant and English as a
second language in France. Jessica spent a year in
Paris, France teaching young primary students English
through the French education system.
These experiences strengthened her passion for serving
others and embracing the differences and cultural
identities of others, alongside playing an active role
in the youth system in her local church. She has
recently relocated back with her family in the Central
Valley and desires to achieve the growth and future
success of the Merced day program.
Jessica enjoys her family, traveling, reading, cooking,
languages, community involvement and music. |
