Wendy
Hougland
Program Director Wendy
began working with individuals with chronic mental illness
while earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from
California State University Sonoma. She then went on to
University of the Pacific where she completed her Master of
Arts Degree in Psychology with a behavioral emphasis in May
of 2007. Wendy continued working with individuals with
chronic mental illness throughout graduate school in a
variety of settings, an experience that inspired her to
create and implement a Master’s Thesis which successfully
reduced the number of violent staff/client interactions that
took place within a private mental facility. Wendy’s desire
to continue working within the field of human services led
her to accept the position of Program Director of Another
Way at Central Valley Training Center in April of 2008. In
August of 2009, Wendy became the Program Director for CVTC’s
Modesto Day Program. Wendy enjoys reading and watching old
movies, as well as traveling to new and exciting places with
her husband. |
