Central Valley Training Center, Inc. Day Program and Community-Based Services
Referral and Intake Process
-
The
referring agency will make a preliminary referral based
on Central Valley Training Center’s program services and
the individual’s needs.
-
Required information/paperwork will be requested by CVTC
from the referring agency.
-
The
individual and parent/authorized representative(s) may
take a tour of the program and request further
information about CVTC.
-
The
individual may choose to participate in a “guest” day to
help determine if the program will meet her/his needs.
-
Upon
the individual’s selection to attend CVTC through
individual choice and/or consultation with her/his
support group or interdisciplinary team, the referring
agency will contact CVTC to schedule an intake meeting.
-
CVTC
will conduct an intake meeting at which time necessary
referral source documentation will be reviewed for
completeness and CVTC intake forms will be completed.

A
start date will be determined.
The individual will start down a road towards success. |

Rick
Leland
Program DirectorRick received his BA Degree in
Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University and
is currently a second year intern with the Tulare County
Office of Education Impact Intern Program pursuing an
Education Specialist credential in moderate to severely
handicapped education.
Before becoming part of the CVTC team, Rick was working in
education as an Intervention Teacher for students with
emotional disturbances. In addition, Rick has experience
working with developmentally delayed students in therapeutic
horseback riding. Rick’s philosophy is that everyone has the
capacity to learn and can achieve when given the
opportunity.
Rick’s interests include fishing, camping and community
bands.
